Hard-won packing tips.
Summer move tip: book 4–6 weeks out. The first and last weekend of every month + the whole of July are the busiest — the best crews go fast. Mid-month, mid-week = cheaper and more available.
Binding vs. non-binding estimate, in plain English: binding = the price is the price. Non-binding = a guess they can revise (capped at +10% at delivery). For long-distance, get it BINDING and in writing.
Pack an “open-me-first” box: chargers, meds, a change of clothes, toilet paper, coffee + the maker, basic tools, snacks. Future-you, exhausted at 9pm in a new place, will be grateful. 📦
